Thu Jan 02 16:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Ram Charan’s “Game Changer” Trailer Unveiled, Promising High-Octane Political Thriller

**Hyderabad, India –** The highly anticipated trailer for director Shankar’s Telugu-language film, “Game Changer,” starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, was released Thursday at a star-studded event in Hyderabad, attended by renowned director SS Rajamouli. The trailer offers a glimpse into a high-octane political action thriller, showcasing Ram Charan in multiple roles, including an idealistic IAS officer, a student, and a police officer, battling a corrupt Chief Minister played by SJ Suryah.

The 2-minute-40-second trailer hints at a complex narrative involving Ram Charan’s father (also played by him) and mother (Anjali), with Kiara Advani as his love interest. The film boasts a large ensemble cast, including Anjali, Samuthirakani, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, and Sunil. Production, which began in 2021, was completed in 2024 after several delays. The film, produced by Dil Raju and Sirish’s Sri Venkateswara Creations, features music by Thaman S and was shot across multiple locations including Hyderabad, New Zealand, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, and Chandigarh. Notably, a reported ₹75 crore (approximately $9 million USD) was spent on just four songs in the film.

Initially slated for a Christmas 2024 release, “Game Changer” has been pushed back to January 10th, 2025, following post-production delays. This places it in direct competition with other Sankranthi releases, including “Daaku Maharaaj” and “Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” scheduled for January 12th. The film’s success will be particularly noteworthy given Shankar’s previous box office disappointment with “Indian 2.” Whether “Game Changer” can recapture the success of Ram Charan’s previous blockbuster, “RRR,” remains to be seen.
