VIJAYAWADA, Andhra Pradesh – Global star Ram Charan has significantly reduced his remuneration for the upcoming Telugu film “Game Changer,” sources close to the production have revealed. Initially reported to be receiving ₹100 crore (approximately $12 million USD) for the film, Charan has reportedly accepted ₹65 crore (approximately $8 million USD) instead.

This decision comes in the wake of the film’s escalating budget. Originally estimated at ₹300 crore (approximately $36 million USD), the budget has reportedly ballooned to ₹500 crore (approximately $60 million USD) due to production delays. In a show of solidarity with producers Dil Raju, Charan reportedly chose to lower his fee to ease the financial burden.

Director Shankar has also reportedly reduced his remuneration from ₹50 crore (approximately $6 million USD) to ₹35 crore (approximately $4.2 million USD).

“Game Changer,” a high-budget action drama also starring Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah, is slated for release on January 10th. The film’s trailer has already generated significant buzz, and a grand pre-release event is scheduled for January 4th in Rajahmundry, to be attended by Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan. The film’s success hinges not only on its star power but also on its ability to recoup its substantial investment.
