**Chennai, January 3, 2025** – Filmmaker Shankar announced today that production on *Indian 3*, the highly anticipated sequel starring Kamal Haasan, will resume after the release of his Telugu film, *Game Changer*. *Game Changer*, a political action thriller starring Ram Charan, is set to hit theaters on January 10th.
The announcement follows the largely negative reception of *Indian 2*, the previous installment in the franchise, released last July. While acknowledging the criticism, Shankar remained unfazed, stating that he views negative reviews as challenges and is not concerned by online trolling. He emphasized the importance of the film industry’s vast workforce whose livelihoods depend on successful productions.
*Indian 3* is slated to serve as both a sequel and prequel, continuing the story of Senapathy (Kamal Haasan) from *Indian 2* while also exploring the backstory of his freedom fighter father.
