**Mansa Tola, Bihar –** Three teenagers were tragically killed by a train in Bihar’s West Champaran district on Thursday while playing the popular mobile game PUBG, police confirmed. The accident occurred near the Royal School at Mansa Tola, on the Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur rail section.
The victims, identified as Furkan Alam, Sameer Alam, and Habibullah Ansari, were wearing earphones and reportedly failed to hear the approaching train. Hundreds of residents gathered at the scene following the incident, with the victims’ bodies subsequently taken home by their families for burial.
Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vivek Deep and Railway Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Initial investigations suggest the teenagers were distracted by their game while sitting on the railway tracks. The authorities are examining both the teenagers’ inattention due to gaming and the safety conditions at the accident site.
“We are collecting statements from family members to understand exactly what happened,” said SDPO Vivek Deep. “Preliminary investigations indicate they were playing mobile games on the tracks.”
The tragedy has highlighted the dangers of playing mobile games in unsafe locations. Authorities are urging parents to monitor their children’s gaming habits and emphasize the importance of awareness and safety in public areas to prevent similar incidents.
