**TUSCALOOSA, AL** – Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe announced Thursday that he will forgo his remaining college eligibility and enter the 2025 NFL Draft. The two-year starter made the announcement via social media, expressing his lifelong passion for football and his desire to compete at the highest level.

Milroe, a two-season captain for the Tide, secured the starting quarterback position before the 2023 season, beating out Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner. He led the team in most games throughout the season, concluding his college career in Tuesday’s ReliaQuest Bowl loss to Michigan. While his final game saw a rough start, including fumbles and an interception, Milroe finished his 2023 season with impressive statistics: 2,844 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, along with 726 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns.
