Fri Jan 03 10:03:45 UTC 2025: ## Hyundai Unveils Creta Electric SUV with 473km Range
**Hyderabad, India** – Hyundai Motor India has revealed its new electric SUV, the Hyundai Creta Electric. Set to launch at the India Mobility Show 2025, the vehicle boasts a striking resemblance to its gasoline-powered counterpart, but with a key difference: an ARAI-certified range of up to 473 kilometers.
The Creta Electric offers two battery pack options: 42kWh and 51.4kWh, providing ranges of 390km and 473km respectively. While power and torque figures remain undisclosed, Hyundai claims the long-range version can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 7.9 seconds. Driving modes include Eco, Normal, and Sport, selectable via a steering column-mounted switch similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The vehicle also features Hyundai’s i-Pedal single-pedal driving technology.
Charging times are estimated at 58 minutes (10% to 80%) using a DC fast charger, and 4 hours (10% to 100%) with an 11kW AC wall box charger.
Despite sharing its body panels with the ICE version, the Creta Electric features design tweaks including new front and rear bumpers with pixel-like detailing, a sealed-off front grille, and aero-optimized alloy wheels. The front bumper’s angular design closely resembles the N Line variant, and includes active aero flaps to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The charging port is conveniently located on the front of the SUV.
Inside, the Creta Electric features a dual 10.25-inch screen setup, a new steering wheel (similar to the overseas Hyundai Kona), and a floating center console design. Features include a panoramic sunroof, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, a 360-degree camera, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, and Hyundai’s digital key feature.
The Creta Electric will be available in four variants – Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence – with eight monotone and two dual-tone color options, including three matte finishes.
