**Guntur, January 2, 2025** – Students from Vignan University in Guntur district have brought immense pride to their institution after a stellar performance at the 38th Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Inter-University South Zone Youth Festival. Held at SRM University in Chennai, the four-day event saw Vignan University students win 12 awards.
According to Vice-Chancellor P. Nagabhushan, the students’ exceptional achievements spanned various categories, including western instrumental solo, one-act play, collage competition, cultural rally, western vocal solo, elocution, skit, mime, folk orchestra, debate, cartooning, and rangoli. Their performances in western instrumental solo, one-act play, collage competition, and cultural rally were particularly impressive, earning them a place in the upcoming National Youth Festival.
The national-level competition will take place at Amity University in Noida from March 3rd to 7th, 2025. Vignan University’s Vice-Chancellor, Chairman Lavu Rattaiah, and Registrar P.M.V. Rao extended their congratulations to the award-winning students. A felicitation ceremony was held at the university on Thursday to honor their accomplishments.
