**Salem, January 2, 2025** – Two separate accidents in Salem on Thursday resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
The first incident involved Kamalraj (52), a blood testing center operator, who was killed when his two-wheeler was hit by an unidentified vehicle near the Thiruvagoundanur flyover. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Suramangalam police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage to identify the hit-and-run driver.
In the second incident, K. Sasikumar (17), a plus one student, died after a motorcycle accident near a village temple. While riding his father’s bike, he collided with an elderly pedestrian, sustaining fatal head injuries. Sasikumar passed away en route to the hospital. The elderly person suffered minor injuries. Attaiyampatti police are investigating this case.
