**Bhaderwah, Jammu and Kashmir –** Three men were found dead inside a guest house in Bhaderwah, Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, on January 2nd, 2025, sparking a police investigation. The deceased, identified as Mukesh Kumar, Ashutosh, and Sunny Choudhary, all residents of Jammu, were discovered unconscious in a room at the Royal Inn guest house.
Police were alerted after a man reported that his brother, who had travelled to Bhaderwah, was unreachable. Tracing the brother’s phone, police located the group at the guest house. After receiving no response to repeated knocking, officers forced entry and found the three men unresponsive. Medical professionals declared all three dead at the scene.
A charcoal heater was found operating within the room, leading investigators to suspect asphyxiation as the cause of death. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta, stated that initial investigations point towards asphyxiation, though forensic reports are pending to confirm the cause.
