**Mumbai, January 2:** Allu Arjun-starrer *Pushpa: The Rule* continues its phenomenal box office run, smashing records even into the new year. The film, which released on December 5th, saw a significant 70% increase in collections on January 1st, a national holiday in India, raking in ₹13.15 crore nett. This represents a nearly ₹6 crore jump compared to the previous day’s earnings.
The Hindi dubbed version alone contributed a massive ₹9.5 crore nett to the total, while the Telugu original added ₹3.15 crore. In its first 28 days, *Pushpa 2* has amassed a staggering ₹1,184 crore nett in India alone, with the Telugu version contributing ₹330.53 crore. Tamil and Kannada versions added ₹57.65 crore and ₹7.68 crore respectively.
Trade analysts predict the film, directed by Sukumar, is well on its way to achieving a worldwide gross of ₹2,000 crore. The action-packed sequel, focusing on Pushparaj’s rise in the red sandalwood syndicate and his battles against various adversaries, continues to perform exceptionally well, particularly in the Hindi-speaking regions. Along with Allu Arjun, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles, supported by a strong ensemble cast.
