Pitti cited personal reasons for his resignation, which followed the sale of a 1.4% stake in the company. His brother, Rikant Pittie, formerly EaseMyTrip’s CFO and executive director, has been appointed as the new CEO.
Nishant Pitti’s resignation letter, filed with the stock exchange, made no further elaboration on his “personal reasons.” Reports suggest he may sell his remaining 14.21% stake in a block deal valued at approximately Rs 780 crore (approximately $94 million USD). Nishant Pitti co-founded EaseMyTrip in 2008.
