Thu Jan 02 15:35:06 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh Cabinet Approves Key Election Promise: ‘Talliki Vandanam’
**Vijayawada, January 2, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh state cabinet has approved the implementation of the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme, one of the six key election promises made by the ruling party. The scheme, details of which were not disclosed, will begin next academic year.
Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced the decision following a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The minister stated that the government is prioritizing the implementation of all six promises, with several others, including increased pensions, the Deepam-2 LPG cylinder subsidy program, and the revival of Anna Canteens, already underway.
Mr. Parthasarathy also confirmed that financial assistance to farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme will be disbursed once funds are released by the Central government under the PM Kisan scheme. Furthermore, a Mega DSC recruitment drive for 16,500 teachers will be conducted before the start of the next academic year.
