**Bengaluru, December 31, 2024** – Kavyashree Manjunath, founder of Apratima BioSolutions Private Limited, has been awarded the Smt. Shuba and Prof. Eswarahalli Dwarakadasa Young Entrepreneur Award by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Alumni Association. The award, presented on December 28th, recognizes exceptional innovation with societal benefit. Manjunath, a structural biologist, received a ₹300,000 cash prize and citation for her company’s groundbreaking work in chemically recycling plastics, a solution aimed at reducing pollution and carbon emissions. The ceremony also included a tribute to Ratan Tata on his 87th birthday, celebrating his contributions to industry and society.
