Mon Dec 30 19:45:00 UTC 2024: ## AIIMS Delhi Treats Over 30,000 Patients Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme

**New Delhi, December 31, 2024** – AIIMS Delhi has provided treatment to over 30,000 patients under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and issued over 800,000 Ayushman Bharat cards, according to Director Dr. M. Srinivas. This comes despite the Delhi government’s failure to implement the PM-JAY scheme in the city. The central government-run institute allows patients to utilize the scheme’s ₹5 lakh annual health coverage per family. Dr. Srinivas also announced plans for a new critical care block and a doubling of emergency ward beds by the end of 2025.
