**New Delhi, December 30, 2024** – The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointment of Rajat Verma as the new CEO of DBS Bank India, effective February 29, 2025. Verma, currently the Head of Institutional Banking Group (IBG) at DBS, will succeed Surojit Shome upon his retirement.

Verma brings 27 years of experience in consumer and corporate banking, encompassing transactional banking, financial institutions, sustainable finance, micro and SME banking, and branch banking. Since joining DBS in June 2023, he has overseen significant growth across all client segments within the IBG. The announcement was made by DBS Bank India in a statement released on Monday.
