**Miami, FL – December 30, 2024** – Joseph Brian Williams, 49, a beloved husband, father, and son, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28th, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, FL. Mr. Williams, a native of Augusta, GA, leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience, having overcome numerous health challenges throughout his life.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Jenny) Snead Williams; his son, Jacob Brian Williams; his parents, Catherine M. and Herbert Peter Williams; and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bert Williams.

A graduate of Westside High School, Wofford College, and UNC-Chapel Hill, Mr. Williams had a distinguished career in healthcare administration, working at Duke University Health System and later Baptist Health in Miami. He and his family moved to Miami in 2015.

Known for his unwavering faith and devotion to his family, Mr. Williams inspired countless people with his perseverance. He received a heart transplant in 1990 and battled five major cancers. The family expresses deep gratitude for the outpouring of support they received throughout the years.

A visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 2nd, at Kendall United Methodist Church in Miami, followed by a celebration of life service. A burial of cremains will occur in the spring at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, GA.
