Mon Dec 30 20:40:00 UTC 2024: **Delhi Metro Restricts Rajiv Chowk Exit on New Year’s Eve**

NEW DELHI – The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced Monday that the Rajiv Chowk metro station will be closed to exiting passengers after 9 pm on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, to manage crowds and ensure public safety. This measure, implemented at the request of Delhi Police, will remain in effect until the last train departs the station. Entry to the station will remain permitted until then. Additionally, the DMRC will stop issuing QR codes for Rajiv Chowk via its mobile app from 8 pm onwards to assist with crowd control. Normal metro services will continue on the rest of the network. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
