**Srinagar, December 31, 2024** – Krishna K.R., a 30-year-old cinematographer and active member of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), passed away in Srinagar on Monday. A native of Perumbavoor, Ernakulam district, Krishna had been hospitalized after developing a chest infection while working on the third installment of the Telugu film “HIT” in Arunachal Pradesh and Kashmir. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, according to a WCC Facebook post.
Krishna, who worked as an associate to renowned cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, was lauded by the WCC for her talent, passion, and dedication to her craft. The collective expressed deep sorrow at her loss and highlighted her significant contributions to the film industry.
