**Bengaluru, December 30, 2024** – Kavyashree Manjunath, founder of Apratima BioSolutions Private Limited, has been awarded the Smt. Shuba and Prof. Eswarahalli Dwarakadasa Young Entrepreneur Award by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Alumni Association. The award, presented on December 28th, recognizes outstanding contributions to society through innovation. Manjunath, a structural biologist, received ₹300,000 and a citation for her company’s groundbreaking work in chemically recycling plastics, a process aimed at significantly reducing pollution and carbon emissions. The ceremony also included a tribute to Ratan Tata on his 87th birthday, celebrating his lifelong contributions to industry and society.
