Meanwhile, a joint investigation report has cited major safety lapses at the Kalur Stadium, placing blame for the accident on the substandard construction of the VIP stage. The report, compiled by police, fire force, and public works departments, highlighted a lack of necessary reinforcement in sections of the stage. It also noted the absence of an ambulance near the VIP stage, delaying immediate medical assistance, and criticized the lack of training among those who moved the MLA to the ambulance.
