**Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, December 30, 2024** – Sivaganga district police have made a significant breakthrough in a recent robbery case, recovering ₹13.5 lakh in cash. Two suspects, Selvakumar (24) and R Madan Kumar (24), have been arrested in connection with the robbery of ₹30 lakh on December 22nd.
The victim, S. Arvind (27), a finance firm employee, was transporting the cash when he was waylaid by a gang on two motorcycles. After a staged collision, the gang stole the money and fled the scene.
Following a thorough investigation, police tracked Selvakumar through his mobile phone records, leading them to Madan Kumar. Confessions revealed that the four-member gang, who had previously met in Ramanathapuram sub-jail, divided the stolen money. Selvakumar reportedly used his share to purchase a two-wheeler for his girlfriend.
Police are currently searching for the two remaining suspects and are continuing their investigation. The recovered ₹13.5 lakh represents a substantial portion of the stolen funds.
