**Kozhikode, Kerala, December 30, 2024** – Kozhikode city is gearing up for a secure New Year’s Eve celebration with a massive police deployment. 750 officers will be on duty to monitor major celebration spots. To ensure public safety, vehicle access to Kozhikode Beach will be prohibited after 5 p.m. on December 31st, with traffic restrictions implemented between Gandhi Road junction and Valiyangadi. Road racing and stunts will be strictly monitored. All visitors are required to leave the beach by 1 a.m. on January 1st. Public celebrations without prior police approval are prohibited.

Citizens are urged to report any anti-social behavior or safety concerns through toll-free helplines 112 and 1515. Event organizers are responsible for crowd control and safety at their venues, including implementing precautions against electrical hazards at illuminated locations. Guidelines have also been issued for New Year celebrations at migrant labor camps, with employers and camp coordinators held accountable for maintaining order.
