**Mangaluru, December 30, 2024** – A free film festival showcasing Kannada, Tulu, and Konkani cinema will be held in Mangaluru on January 2nd and 3rd as part of the ongoing Karavali Utsava. The event, a collaboration between the Dakshina Kannada district administration and Bharath Cinemas, will screen ten films at Big Cinemas.
Deputy Commissioner M.P. Mullai Muhilan announced the festival, highlighting the diverse lineup. The festival opens with the Kannada film *Arishadvarga* on January 2nd, followed by *19.20.21*, a film about a tribal student in Belthangady. Other films include the Tulu comedy *Raj Sounds and Lights*, the Kannada short film *Madyantara*, and the popular Kannada film *Kantara*.
January 3rd’s screenings will feature *Saramsha*, *Tarpana* (Konkani), *Shuddhi*, *Kubi Matthu Iyala*, and *Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana*, which was filmed in Mangaluru.
Tickets are free but will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue, with a limit of two tickets per person. The district administration plans to make this an annual event.
