**HOCKLEY COUNTY, TX** – A high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in a serious crash Friday afternoon in Hockley County. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers pursued a Chevrolet Corvette, reported stolen from Wise County, which crashed near the intersection of FM 2646 and Alaska Road at approximately 1:08 p.m.
The driver sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A passenger fled the vehicle near FM 2646 and FM 1585 and was briefly detained by authorities but subsequently released without charges.
