Fri Dec 27 18:30:10 UTC 2024: ## Retired IAS Officer Arrested in Chennai for Fake Certificate Case

**Chennai, December 28, 2024** – A 68-year-old retired IAS officer, T. Radhakrishnan, was arrested in Chennai on Friday in connection with a case involving fake education certificates. Haryana Police, who had been investigating the case since 2016, apprehended Radhakrishnan from his Anna Nagar residence.

Radhakrishnan, a native of Kanyakumari district, was selected for the Haryana State cadre IAS exam and served as the secretary of the School Education Department in 2012. A complaint regarding fraudulent education certificates led to the filing of a case against him under six sections of the IPC in 2016 by the Panchkula District Police.

A special police squad from Panchkula traveled to Chennai to arrest Radhakrishnan. Following interrogation at the Anna Nagar police station, he will be taken to Haryana to appear before a judicial magistrate. The investigation into the fake certificate case continues.
