**Mumbai, India** – The release of the teaser for Salman Khan’s upcoming film, “Sikandar,” has been postponed following the death of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The teaser, initially slated to launch on Khan’s birthday, December 27th, will now be released on December 28th at 11:07 AM.
The announcement came from production house Nadiadwala Grandson, who expressed their condolences and stated the delay was out of respect for the late Prime Minister. The poster for the film, featuring a suited Salman Khan wielding a spear, was released earlier in the day. While the full face of the Bollywood superstar is obscured, the image offers a glimpse of his rugged look in the film.
“Sikandar,” directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also stars Rashmika Mandanna. The film’s pairing was announced in May 2024, generating considerable excitement amongst fans. Mandanna herself expressed her gratitude for being part of the project. “Sikandar” is currently scheduled for release on Eid 2025.
Khan’s upcoming projects also include “Kick 2.” The postponement of the “Sikandar” teaser marks a moment of national reflection and mourning, as Bollywood joins the nation in paying its respects to Manmohan Singh.
