Fri Dec 27 10:05:14 UTC 2024: ## Teenager Arrested in Chennai for Murder of Roommate
**CHENNAI, December 27, 2024** – A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in Chennai for the murder of his 18-year-old roommate, A. Rahul Kumar. Both were migrant laborers from Bihar working as contract house cleaners and shared a room in Egmore.
Police discovered Kumar unconscious with a head injury on December 24th after neighbors noticed his absence and forced entry into their shared room. He was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital’s ICU but succumbed to his injuries on December 27th.
During interrogation, the juvenile suspect confessed to striking Kumar during a dispute over money. He has been sent to Kelly’s Observation Home following a judicial magistrate appearance. The Egmore police are continuing their investigation.
