**GAZA CITY, December 26, 2024** – Five Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip early Thursday, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The journalists, employed by the Quds News Network, were struck near Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat refugee camp.
The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted a group of Islamic Jihad militants. This comes amidst the ongoing conflict, ignited by Hamas’s October 7th attack on Israel. The Committee to Protect Journalists reports that over 130 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the war began. Restrictions on foreign press access to Gaza remain in place.
