**VISAKHAPATNAM, December 27, 2024** – East Coast Railway announced the restoration of several train services in Andhra Pradesh, replacing cancelled MEMU trains with ICF coaches. The changes, effective December 27th, 2024, involve revised schedules and renumbering of several routes.
The Visakhapatnam-Palasa train (no. 07470, renumbered 67289 from January 1st) will resume service from December 28th to March 1st, excluding Fridays and Sundays. The return service (no. 07471, renumbered 67290 from January 1st) will run from March 2nd to March 1st, also excluding Fridays and Sundays.
The Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram train (no. 07468, renumbered 67287 from January 1st) will operate from December 27th to February 28th, excluding Thursdays. This service will temporarily extend to Parvathipuram starting December 27th. The return service (no. 07469, renumbered 67288 from January 1st) will run from December 28th to March 1st, excluding Fridays, and will also temporarily start from Parvathipuram from December 28th.
All restored trains will consist of 10 General Second Class Sitting Coaches and two Second Class cum luggage/disabled coaches. The railway aims to improve passenger convenience with this restoration.
