Fri Dec 27 15:55:46 UTC 2024: ## DAM Capital Advisors IPO Makes Strong Market Debut, Opens at 39% Premium
**Mumbai, India –** DAM Capital Advisors enjoyed a highly successful stock market debut on Friday, December 27th, with its shares opening at a significant premium. The stock opened at Rs 393 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Rs 392.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), representing a premium of approximately 39% over its issue price of Rs 283. This strong opening met analysts’ predictions, which ranged from a 40% to 50% premium based on robust pre-IPO demand and positive market sentiment.
The initial public offering (IPO), valued at Rs 840.25 crore, was significantly oversubscribed, closing at 81.88 times its size by December 23rd. Notably, the IPO was entirely an Offer for Sale (OFS), meaning DAM Capital Advisors itself did not receive any direct capital inflow. The IPO price band was set between Rs 269 and Rs 283 per share, with a minimum investment of Rs 14,999 for retail investors.
While the initial listing is promising, analysts offer mixed perspectives on the long-term outlook. Prashanth Tapse of Mehta Equities advises conservative investors to book profits above expectations, citing healthy listing gains driven by reasonable valuations and strong market sentiment. He highlighted DAM Capital’s 12.1% market share in IPOs and Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs) in FY24 as a strength. Shivani Nyati of Swastika Investmart Ltd. acknowledges the strong growth in DAM Capital’s investment banking services but suggests partial profit-booking with a stop-loss at Rs 390 due to the IPO’s fully priced valuation.
Despite the bullish opening, investors are urged to carefully monitor DAM Capital Advisors’ performance and overall market trends before making long-term investment decisions. Nuvama Wealth Management Ltd. served as the book-running lead manager for the IPO.
