**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** A Swiggy Instamart customer in Vijayawada has set a new record for the fastest and most expensive order, spending a staggering ₹5,63,383 on groceries, electronics, and other items in just 10 minutes, according to Swiggy Instamart CEO Amitesh Jha.
The revelation came from Swiggy’s annual ‘How India Swiggy’d 2024 — Swiggy Instamart Edition’ report, released on December 27th, 2024. The report highlights the increasing popularity of quick commerce in Vijayawada since the launch of Swiggy Instamart in December 2022.
While the report celebrates the city’s embrace of modern convenience, it also notes that essential items like milk, tomatoes, curd, green chilies, and sunflower oil were among the top purchases. Fresh bread and eggs also proved to be popular daily staples.
Jha expressed pride in Swiggy Instamart’s role in serving the residents of Vijayawada. The record-breaking order underscores the growing trend of quick commerce in India, demonstrating the convenience and accessibility of on-demand delivery services.
