**GURUGRAM, INDIA** – Simran Singh, a widely popular freelance radio jockey (RJ) and social media influencer from Jammu, was found dead in her Gurugram apartment on Thursday. The 25-year-old was discovered deceased in her Sector 47 apartment, according to police reports.
A friend residing with Singh alerted authorities, NDTV reported. Police have released Singh’s body to her family following an autopsy. Initial investigations suggest suicide, although the cause of death will be officially confirmed once the post-mortem report is released.
Known as “Jammu ki Dhadkan” (the heartbeat of Jammu) among her fans, Singh boasted a substantial social media presence, with 6.83 lakh followers on Instagram. She previously worked for a prominent radio station, holding the distinction of being Jammu’s youngest RJ before transitioning to freelance work. Her verified Instagram account featured 443 posts, predominantly humorous content. Her last post, dated December 13th, showed her dancing on a beach in a gown.
The incident has shocked her large online following and the J&K community. The investigation is ongoing.
