**Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu –** Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu oversaw the construction of a new glass bridge in Kanniyakumari on Thursday. The bridge, connecting the Vivekananda Memorial and the Tiruvalluvar statue, is set to be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on December 30th. The inauguration will coincide with silver jubilee celebrations commemorating the installation of the Tiruvalluvar statue.
Minister Thennarasu also launched an awareness campaign vehicle as part of the celebrations. He urged officials to expedite preparations for the event, which will include various art and cultural programs celebrating the teachings of Tiruvalluvar. Before concluding his visit, the Minister paid tribute at the tsunami memorial, honoring the victims of the natural disaster. The event was attended by several local officials, including the Collector, Superintendent of Police, and Corporation Mayor.
