**Mumbai, India** – The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the recruitment of 600 Probationary Officers (POs) for 2024. Applications open on December 27, 2024, and close on January 16, 2025, via the bank’s official website.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 586 regular posts and 14 backlog posts, distributed across various categories: 240 General, 158 OBC, 58 EWS, 87 SC, and 57 ST (including backlog).
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2024, with age relaxations applicable as per SBI rules. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university is required. The application fee is Rs 750 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, while SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted. Payment can be made online using debit cards, credit cards, or net banking.
The selection process involves three phases: a preliminary exam (March 8-15, 2025), a main exam (April/May 2025), and a final round comprising a psychometric test, group exercise, and interview. Candidates must retain their preliminary exam call letter after verification at the exam center. Shortlisted candidates will need to bring both the preliminary and main exam call letters, along with other necessary documents, to the main exam.
