**Hyderabad, India –** Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa 2: The Rule* continues its box office dominance, raking in an estimated ₹20.7 crore net on its 21st day, bringing its India total to over ₹1109.85 crore. The film’s strong performance persists even after facing competition from new releases such as *Baby John* and despite ongoing controversy surrounding a stampede incident at its premiere.
Despite the release of several new films over the Christmas weekend, *Pushpa 2* managed to maintain its momentum, outperforming competitors in its third week. The film’s impressive run began with a ₹164.25 crore opening day collection.
The film’s success, however, is overshadowed by a tragic incident at the Sandhya Theatre premiere. A stampede resulted in the death of a woman and serious injuries to her son. Allu Arjun, arrested in connection with the incident, was later granted interim bail. While the actor claims he only learned of the fatality the day after the premiere, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy alleges he was informed during the screening.
In a show of support, the *Pushpa 2* team, including Allu Arjun, Mythri Movie Makers, and director Sukumar, announced a ₹2 crore donation to the victim’s family. The funds will be used to support the family and the injured child’s future.
