**Hyderabad, India (December 26, 2024)** – Telugu cinema’s leading figures met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday to discuss strategies for expanding the industry’s global presence and attracting Hollywood productions to Hyderabad. The meeting aimed to address recent misunderstandings regarding the relationship between the government and the film industry.
Following the meeting, Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman Dil Raju stated that the government and Tollywood are collaborating to elevate Telugu cinema to an international standard. He clarified that any perceived rift was due to isolated incidents and that the industry’s needs had been communicated to the Chief Minister.
To resolve outstanding issues, a committee will be formed, comprising Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Tollywood representatives. Further discussions are planned between the FDC and industry representatives before a formal proposal is submitted to the Chief Minister. Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy confirmed that all issues have been resolved and any misinformation has been corrected. The focus now turns to implementing strategies to enhance Telugu cinema’s international appeal and attract foreign film productions to Hyderabad.
