**ORLANDO, FL** – The Orlando Magic pulled off a stunning comeback victory over the Boston Celtics Monday night, winning 108-104 despite a 15-point halftime deficit. The win was even more impressive considering the absence of key players Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Mo Wagner for Orlando.
Jayson Tatum’s illness kept him sidelined for Boston, leaving Jaylen Brown to lead the Celtics with 35 points. Brown’s efforts, however, were ultimately not enough to overcome the Magic’s second-half surge.
Tristan da Silva proved to be the hero for Orlando, scoring 18 points, including a crucial three-pointer with 9.9 seconds remaining that sealed the victory. Trevelin Queen also contributed significantly in his first NBA start, adding 17 points. Jalen Suggs chipped in 16.
The Celtics, who dominated the first half, faltered in the second, shooting a dismal 8-for-32 from three-point range. Their cold shooting allowed the Magic to dominate the third quarter, erasing the deficit entirely. A late run by Boston brought them within one point, but da Silva’s clutch three-pointer ended their comeback hopes.
The game also saw a brief altercation between Jalen Suggs and Kristaps Porzingis (17 points for Boston), resulting in technical fouls for both players and an ejection for Magic center Goga Bitadze.
The Celtics, defending NBA champions, now face the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day. The Magic will host the Miami Heat on Thursday.
