**Ahmedabad, Gujarat –** Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel joined celebrations commemorating Veer Bal Diwas at Ahmedabad’s Thaltej Gurudwara today. The annual observance, initiated in 2022 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, honors the sacrifice of the four younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who were martyred for their faith.

CM Patel emphasized the importance of India’s tradition of sacrifice and its role in preserving national values and self-respect. He highlighted Veer Bal Diwas as a way to instill a sense of patriotism in young Indians, inspiring them to uphold the nation’s cultural heritage. He praised Prime Minister Modi’s efforts to integrate longstanding traditions with modern India, citing the shift of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awards ceremony to coincide with Veer Bal Diwas as an example.

Patel participated in prayers, Shabad Kirtan, and Langar Seva at the Gurudwara, alongside several dignitaries including the city mayor and MLAs. The event drew a large crowd of Sikh devotees. Similar commemorations took place across India, including Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, with national leaders paying tribute to the Sahibzadas. President Murmu also presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awards to 17 children today.
