**Lucknow, UP:** A seminar on good governance was held in Uttar Pradesh to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tributes to Vajpayee and lauded his model of governance. Winners of various competitions held as part of the centenary celebrations were also awarded. Singh highlighted the global recognition of Vajpayee’s administration’s effective governance.
The event, however, wasn’t without political undertones. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav questioned the preparedness for the upcoming Kumbh Mela, suggesting that the BJP government was more focused on electoral strategies than public service and offering his party’s assistance.
