**Gaza City, December 26, 2024** – At least 10 people have been killed and more than a dozen wounded in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, according to Gaza Health authorities. Five fatalities and 20 injuries resulted from a single strike on a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. Medics warn the death toll could climb as people remain trapped under the rubble.

In a separate incident, five journalists working for Al-Quds Al-Youm television channel were killed when their clearly marked media vehicle was hit near Al-Awda hospital in Nuseirat. The vehicle was reportedly used by journalists covering events from within the hospital and the nearby camp.

There has been no immediate response from Israeli authorities regarding these reported strikes. The attacks follow the failure of Hamas and Israel to reach a ceasefire agreement on Wednesday, despite reported progress in previous days. Both sides traded blame for the breakdown in negotiations.
