**Kozhikode, Kerala:** Eminent Malayalam writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair passed away last night at 10 PM at a hospital in Kozhikode, marking the end of an era in Malayalam literature and Indian cinema. He was 91.
Nair, celebrated for his profound contribution to Malayalam literature and filmmaking, will be cremated today at 5 PM at the Mavur Road crematorium in Kozhikode. The public can pay their last respects at his residence on Koottaram Road until 4 PM. The state government has declared a two-day state mourning in his honor. Koottaram Road, where his house is located, is currently closed to vehicular traffic until the evening.
