**Patna, Bihar:** Bihar experienced a fluctuating weather pattern on Thursday, with sunshine interspersed with cloudy spells. While temperatures remained relatively stable, the day felt noticeably colder than Wednesday. The Meteorological Centre reported a maximum temperature of 27°C in Motihari and Sitamarhi, while Saharsa’s Agwanpur recorded the state’s lowest temperature at a chilly 7.3°C. Patna’s maximum temperature reached 24°C, with a minimum of 14.5°C. The shift from easterly winds in the morning to westerly winds in the evening further contributed to the increased chill.
A strong western disturbance is predicted to arrive on December 27th, triggering a significant temperature drop across the state. This system is expected to bring cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall to the southwestern districts from December 27th to 29th. Meteorologists forecast a severe cold wave to follow the anticipated rainfall. The districts expected to receive rainfall include Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, Arwal, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, and Jahanabad.
