Tue Dec 24 19:52:44 UTC 2024: ## Former Cricketer Vinod Kambli Stable After Hospitalization for Blood Clots

**Thane, India** – Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli remains hospitalized in Thane after suffering from a sudden health deterioration on Saturday. While he had been experiencing health concerns since attending a ceremony, his condition worsened, leading to his admission. Tests revealed the presence of blood clots in his brain, a complication stemming from a recent stroke.

Doctors at Aakriti Hospital in Bhiwandi, where Kambli is receiving treatment, provided an update on Tuesday. Dr. Vivek Dwivedi, leading the medical team, stated that Kambli was admitted with high fever, low blood pressure, and muscle spasms. These symptoms were attributed to a urinary tract infection and an electrolyte imbalance. While the infection is responding to treatment, Dr. Dwivedi emphasized that Kambli’s brain condition remains unstable, requiring continued rehabilitation.

Although Kambli is currently in the ICU, his vital signs are stable. Doctors anticipate his discharge in 2-3 days, contingent upon his continued progress. The focus of his treatment is now on rehabilitation due to the ongoing changes in his brain function.
