**Bengaluru, December 25, 2024** – The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Bengaluru recently conducted a free two-day capsule course on cement quality for industry professionals. The course, held on December 19th and 20th, aimed to enhance the skills of quality personnel, whom the BIS recognizes as crucial to industry success.
Director T. Nagamani emphasized the importance of quality in achieving business goals. The event’s chief guest, Nagaraja K.C., Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Acharya Institute of Technology, highlighted key challenges facing the cement industry, including deceptive labeling of mineral additives and environmental concerns related to unsustainable construction practices. The program included practical demonstrations, laboratory visits, and a workshop.
