Tue Dec 24 20:14:29 UTC 2024: ## Delhi Police Busts Illegal Immigration Ring Linked to Murder Case

**New Delhi, December 25, 2024** – Delhi police announced the dismantling of a significant illegal immigration operation involving Bangladeshi nationals, resulting in the arrest of 11 individuals. The investigation stemmed from the murder of Sentu Sheikh, a Sangam Vihar resident.

Four of those arrested are Bangladeshi citizens accused of forging documents. Police revealed that the murder investigation uncovered a plot by two of Sheikh’s employees, Midul Miyan (Akash Ahmed) and Fardeen Ahmed (Abhi Ahmed), to kill him after a financial dispute. Two other female employees were also implicated in the murder.

The investigation further uncovered a sophisticated network facilitating the creation of fraudulent identity documents. Twenty-one Aadhaar cards, four voter ID cards, and eight PAN cards were seized. The network utilized a website, Jantaprints.site, to generate fake birth certificates and other documents for a minimal fee, often paid via Paytm.

Sahil Sehgal, who ran a computer center in Rohini, was arrested for generating the fraudulent documents. His associate, Ranjit, collaborated with Afroz, an authorized Aadhaar operator at a Karnataka Bank branch, to create Aadhaar cards using the fake documents. Mohammad Chand and Saddam Hussain were also arrested for their roles in processing payments and operating the website. Deepak Mishra, the website’s operator, remains at large.

The police investigation highlights the ease with which fake documents were generated and obtained, raising concerns about the vulnerability of India’s identity verification systems. The case underscores the significant challenges posed by illegal immigration and the associated criminal activities.
