Tue Dec 24 04:35:24 UTC 2024: ## Yadgir Fort to Get ₹100 Crore Makeover, Ropeway Planned for Mailaralingeshwar Temple

**YADGIR, KARNATAKA – DECEMBER 24, 2024** – The historical Yadgir Fort is set for a major ₹100 crore redevelopment under Karnataka’s ‘one district, one spot’ tourism project, MLA Channareddy Patil Tunnur announced. Funding will be split between a ₹33 crore MLA grant and ₹67 crore from the state government. The project, following a recent visit by Tourism Minister H.K. Patil, aims to boost tourism in the district.

Simultaneously, a ropeway is planned for the Mailaralingeshwar temple in Mailpur village, attracting devotees from across Karnataka and neighboring states. The project received cabinet approval in Kalaburagi and benefits from the recently adopted Karnataka Tourism Ropeways Bill, 2024, allowing for the construction of 15 ropeways statewide.

Construction on both projects will commence after completion of expert technical surveys.
