**Hyderabad, India** – Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rule* continues its box office dominance, but its 19th-day gross reveals a significant slowdown. While the film has raked in an impressive ₹1506.7 crore globally and is nearing the ₹1600 crore mark, Monday’s (December 23rd) collections saw a steep drop of nearly ₹20 crore in India, totaling ₹12.25 crore net. Despite the weekday slump, the Hindi dubbed version surprisingly outperformed the Telugu version, earning ₹9.75 crore net compared to ₹2.2 crore net. The film’s total Indian net collection stands at ₹1074.85 crore.
The film’s success, however, is overshadowed by a tragic incident on its premiere day, where a stampede resulted in a woman’s death. Allu Arjun has been summoned to the police station regarding the incident and his residence was vandalized by individuals claiming to be from the OU JAC. The actor has denied allegations of insensitive comments and expressed regret. The film’s producer, Naveen Yerneni, donated ₹50 lakh to the victim’s family, and six individuals involved in the vandalism have been granted bail.
Despite the controversy, congratulations poured in from Yash Raj Films, highlighting the film’s record-breaking success. Allu Arjun responded graciously, expressing hope for future successes for other films.
Meanwhile, the release of Varun Dhawan’s *Baby John* on Christmas faced stiff competition from *Pushpa 2*, selling only 44,782 advance tickets, generating ₹2.05 crore.
