**Hyderabad, December 24, 2024** – Telangana High Court Justice K. Lakshman dismissed the anticipatory bail application of actor and YSRCP leader Manchu Mohan Babu on Monday. Babu is facing an “attempt to murder” charge stemming from an assault on TV journalist Muppidi Ranjit.

Ranjit alleges that Babu inflicted a bleeding injury, fracturing his zygomatic bone, during a visit to the actor’s farmhouse. The incident reportedly arose from a dispute between Babu and his son Manoj. Ranjit was hospitalized and underwent surgery. While Babu later apologized to Ranjit in the hospital, the police proceeded with the investigation, leading to the actor’s bail application. The High Court’s rejection means the investigation will continue.
