Srinagar, Dec 23 – Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has urged for unity among Hindus, Muslims, and Christians to help India achieve its goal of becoming a global leader (“Vishwa Guru”). Speaking at a program organized by the Global Strategic Policy Foundation in Srinagar, Bhagwat emphasized the need to overcome the ongoing Hindu-Muslim divide, urging participants to focus on constructive engagement for national progress rather than dwelling on contentious issues like temples and mosques.
Bhagwat highlighted the importance of internal unity, stating that India’s diverse communities should work together, setting aside historical conflicts. He stressed that the unity of India is paramount.
The event saw Bhagwat felicitated by two Jammu and Kashmir activists, Sajid Yousuf Shah and Samreen Khan, who also extended an invitation for Bhagwat to visit Kashmir, an invitation he accepted.
