**KOCHI, December 24, 2024** – A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed chargesheets against actors Edavela Babu and M. Mukesh, MLA, in connection with allegations of sexual harassment within the Malayalam film industry. The charges stem from a report by the K. Hema committee.

Mr. Babu faces charges of sexually harassing a female actor by offering her membership in the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes. The chargesheet was filed in an Ernakulam court. Meanwhile, Mr. Mukesh is accused of misconduct towards an actor during a 2011 film shoot; his chargesheet was filed in a Vadakkanchery court. Both actors were previously arrested and subsequently released on bail.
